"Certainly it's worth waiting for – the Gunton Arms is there to feed you. It's the kind of place where, having eaten, you crave a lie-down... I want to go back to the Gunton Arms. I want to go back soon" – Jay Rayner, The Guardian

Following the success of the 2017 festival which sold out three months in advance the capacity has been doubled from 650 to 1300. The North Norfolk Festival is a glorious celebration of The Gunton Arms holy trinity – Food, music and drink.

The acclaimed Gunton restaurant will be open throughout the festival plus an outdoor BBQ serving delicious jerk chicken, spiced lamb pittas, vegetarian dishes and of course the classic Gunton venison burgers and hotdogs. There will be an expanded food area in 2018 featuring vendors hand picked by head chef Stuart Tattersall.

Described by The Independent as a “Rock & Roll Hunting Lodge” The Gunton Arms is located in the beautiful thousand acre deer park which surrounds Gunton Hall near Cromer in North Norfolk. Stuart Tattersall (Former Head Chef at Mark Hix) cooks from local ingredients including venison from the deer park.

Thomas Truax

Thomas Truax

Thomas merges a fevered imagination, solid songwriting abilities and a groovy showbiz attitude with a mad scientist's brain for weird gadgets.

Performing with mechanical sound sculptures eg Mother Superior, instruments that he builds himself from found objects and spare parts as well as standard instruments.

You get darkly witty songs accompanied by weird Harry Partch-esque home made instruments. An exceptional talent, unique and resistant to comparison

"When he performs, it is a spectacle - the originality and seeming impossibility of what he does is much of the appeal." -The Guardian

"His gigs are extraordinary, fizzing with showmanship." –Q

Gladboy are an experimental pop trio who formed after meeting at UEA and discovering a shared adoration of music and literature from across space and time. After months of loose jamming sessions centred around Sonny's jazz influenced drumming and George's stream-of consciousness lyricism, the band recruited Adam Bentham on bass and began to refine their sound. With Adam at the helm as producer, the band recorded their charismatic debut single ‘Weight of Expectation' all in one night.

The band describe their sound as junkadelic, which hits the nail right on the head… At times they remind of an embryonic Blur, with an anarchic experimentalism that is fighting to find a darker side. One to watch”. Outline Magazine

The Tuppenny Bunters

The Tuppenny Bunters

A two piece piano driven act. Trashy moon style drums behind an amped up honky tonk piano. A mercurial performance from 2 songwriters with up front tunes that take in music hall, 60s pop, early prog, punk, garage and Tony Hancock. Screeching vocals, spiky staccato runs, criss cross harmonies over Bach chord lines. Vintage gear and The Fool's wardrobe.
